Barn and Tractor

From a VT day trip

Barn and Tractor

My buddy, Steve Perlmutter, called me on Friday asking of I wanted to take a Saturday drive to Vermont to scout and photograph barns. Since I have done very little photography so far this year, I said yes. An added bonus, was a later start time. We had no plans to be somewhere for sunrise, which meant we could leave at a mutually agreeable time in the morning. Since Steven is a morning person and I am not, that did take some negotiation! We settled on a 7:00am departure, and were photographing barns by 9:30am.

Most of the itinerary was planned — Mr. Perlmutter has a passion for planning — and some of it was on a whim. This particular barn, I think was a whim stop. We drove past it shortly after deciding to start the three hour drive home. It wound up being one of my favorite shots from the day.
